TN Electrical is a family business, with Tom and Betty Nelson trading in 1966 as TA & B Nelson. Tom’s involvement in the industry’s (then) governing body, combined with the pride he took in his work, saw the business quickly gain recognition for delivering top-notch electrical services to Dural, the Hills District, and northern areas of Sydney. This fuelled our growth, resulting in the 1978 rebrand to TN Electrical Pty Ltd where Tom assumed the role of Managing Director.
Today, the family legacy carries on under the leadership of John Nelson, who initially joined as an apprentice. Continuing the commitment to quality workmanship, his 1987 graduations saw John secure third place in the esteemed 1998 NSW Apprentice of the Year Awards.
With a desire to provide holistic client solutions that include data, telephone, alarm installations, and more, John also secured endorsements for restricted water plumbing, and Australian Communications Authority (ACA) and Security Industry licencing.
For 14 years, founder Tom Nelson served as the Electrical Contractors Association’s Northern Suburbs Branch Secretary.
An unwavering commitment to furthering the electrical industry earned Tom a distinguished standing.
In 1986, Tom was bestowed the Rotary Club’s prestigious Pride of Workmanship Award for his dedication to the trade and belief that nothing is worth doing unless it’s done right.
